If you have been trying to look for a collection of resources on free and/or paid objects for ArchiCAD use, Graphisoft have compiled an extensive list here: Objects for ArchiCAD.

Browsing through an extensive list or catalog of objects is a very taxing task.

Objects can make or break your project deliverables in certain situations

If you feel like their list is just way too long or you don't have the time to try which ones are worth the hassle to register your details with (or even pay your hard earned money), then you've come to the right place. Below are just a few object resources that I personally have tested, you might find some of them useful for your projects.

SiteFree/PaidDescription
ModlarFree w/ RegistrationSimple and efficient, allowing you to instantly drag and drop building products into your design.
NBS National BIM LibraryFree w/ RegistrationA comprehensive and growing collection of BIM (Building Information Modeling) objects spanning all building fabric systems.
SpecifiedByFree w/ RegistrationStarted out as a ‘CAD library’ trying to connect architects, designers and other specifiers with building product manufacturers using CAD models and has naturally developed into a ‘Specification Library’, with all relevant data required to make a decision about a building product.
RubySketchFree w/ RegistrationAn online library of 3D models free for architects, builders and designers to download to use in their designs.
CORFreeProvides you with free CAD files for downloading. You receive the data as ArchiCAD-GDL library elements (GSM), in DWG format or 3DS format as a complete zip archive.

If you know of any other good ones that’s not on the list, feel free to share them below and I’ll be more than happy to add them on the above list.

Final Thoughts

Browsing through an extensive list or catalog of objects is a very taxing task. That's mainly why I dedicated a good amount of time to learn GDL. It was not an easy task but I have to say, the journey is one of a kind.

This is the very first object I have created from scratch in ArchiCAD using the GDL language. The object comes with parameters to customize the table from changing it to a rectangular shape or L-shape and materials customization.

If you still feel like the list above is too much of a hassle or you want to talk to someone who can create your very own object, then feel free to get in touch with me.
